TakeOne is a simple Bluetooth practice recorder by musevv. It records practice takes with a metronome, calibrates output latency, plays back a compensated take, exports M4A files, and includes a guitar tuner.

- Install TakeOne and allow microphone access.
- Open Audio.
- Choose or confirm your output device.
- Tap Calibrate.
- Keep the output device close enough for the iPhone microphone to hear the calibration clicks.
- Open Practice.
- Tap Record, play through the count-in, then tap Stop.
- Use Play, Export, or Keep This Take with TakeOne Pro.
Calibration Tips
- Use the same headphones, speaker, or output device you plan to practice with.
- Keep the room quiet during calibration.
- Put the output device close enough for the iPhone microphone to hear the clicks.
- Recalibrate after switching headphones, speaker, AirPlay route, or audio interface.
- If calibration fails, turn the output volume up, keep the device close to the iPhone microphone, and run Calibrate again.
- If Bluetooth latency cannot be measured reliably, try a different Bluetooth headset or wired headphones.
Recording Tips
- Use the iPhone microphone by default.
- If you use Bluetooth headphones, TakeOne tries to keep recording on the iPhone microphone while playing audio through the selected output.
- If you lock the screen while recording, return to the app before stopping and exporting.
- If Bluetooth disconnects or reconnects during recording, check Audio status before the next take.
Guitar Tuner Tips
- Open Tune.
- Tap Listen.
- Play one guitar string at a time.
- Use standard guitar tuning in TakeOne 1.0.
- Stop listening before recording practice.
Export Tips
- Export creates an M4A file using the same compensated timeline as app playback.
- The current latest take can be exported for free.
- TakeOne Pro unlocks saved-take export, Clean Export, and Practice Card video export.
- The original raw recording remains local inside the app.
- You can share the exported file through iOS sharing options such as Files, Messages, or other apps.
Current Version Limits
- No account login.
- No cloud sync.
- No multi-track recording.
- No AI practice analysis.
- No subscription. TakeOne Pro is a one-time in-app purchase for on-device Pro features.
- Guitar tuner is focused on standard guitar tuning.
Privacy
TakeOne stores recordings locally on your device. It does not upload recordings unless you explicitly export or share them.
