Audio and Recordings

TakeOne asks for microphone access so it can record practice takes, measure calibration clicks, and detect guitar pitch in the tuner.

Practice recordings are stored locally on your device. They leave your device only if you explicitly export or share them using iOS sharing features.

Calibration audio is used locally to estimate latency for the selected output route. It is not uploaded.

Tuner audio is processed locally while the tuner is listening. It is not uploaded.

Local App Data

TakeOne may store the following data locally on your device:

• saved takes
• recent attempts
• calibration profiles
• metronome settings
• route status needed for audio setup
• exported files created by you

You can delete recordings or app data by using app controls where available or by deleting the app from your device.

Anonymous Usage Analytics

TakeOne may collect anonymous usage events to understand whether the app is working well and where users run into problems.

Examples of anonymous events include:

• whether calibration started, completed, or failed
• whether a practice recording completed
• whether a take was played, saved, discarded, or exported
• whether a paywall was viewed or a purchase flow completed
• whether a layered take was recorded or exported
• app opens, session starts, approximate session duration, total session count, and distinct usage days
• app version, operating system version, device type, and anonymous app installation identifier

These analytics are used only to improve calibration, recording, playback, export, and purchase flows.

TakeOne uses TelemetryDeck for privacy-conscious analytics. Analytics events are not used for advertising, are not linked to your identity by TakeOne, and are not used to track you across apps or websites.

TakeOne does not send:

• audio recordings
• calibration audio
• tuner audio
• take names
• file names
• file paths
• user-entered notes
• Bluetooth device names
• raw audio route fingerprints

You can turn off anonymous usage analytics in the app settings when this feature is available.

TakeOne Plus and Pro Purchases

TakeOne Plus and TakeOne Pro are optional one-time in-app purchases. Purchases and restores are handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.

TakeOne may check your local App Store entitlement to unlock Plus or Pro features. TakeOne does not require a TakeOne account to use paid features.

Feedback

You may choose to send feedback. If you use the in-app Send Feedback button, your email may include diagnostic context such as app version, iOS version, microphone permission status, current audio route status, input and output device names, saved calibration profile count, and saved take count.

This information is included to help debug setup, calibration, recording, playback, export, and tuning issues. Do not include sensitive information in feedback unless you want us to review it.

Third-Party Services

TakeOne and the musevv website use TelemetryDeck for privacy-conscious product and website analytics.

• Purpose: anonymous product and website analytics
• Data use: app interactions, page visits, referral and campaign information, browser and device information, and privacy-preserving identifiers for analytics
• Tracking: no
• Advertising: no

Website Analytics

The musevv website uses TelemetryDeck to understand page visits, traffic sources, and clicks that lead to the App Store.

TelemetryDeck may process the page URL, referrer and campaign information, browser and device information, country derived from the network request, and a privacy-preserving visitor identifier that changes daily. Website analytics do not use cookies, advertising identifiers, or cross-site tracking.

We use this information only to understand and improve the website. For more information, read the TelemetryDeck Privacy Policy.

Children

TakeOne is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date.
